This year, our traditional \u201cEnglish breakfast\u201d took place on Wednesday the 21st<\/sup><\/p>\n\n\n\n

of February.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All pupils of the 3rd<\/sup> year got well prepared beforehand, during the lessons of English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The typical \u201cEnglish breakfast\u201d is still known throughout the world, but in Britain it\u2019s not as \u201ctypical\u201d anymore as we often think. A lot of British do not longer have the time to prepare such an elaborate dish. But on the Scheppers Institute, we like hard work and traditions, don\u2019t we\u2026?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thus, on Wednesday morning, all English teachers had to get up very early, because it\u2019s always a real challenge to prepare such a traditional English breakfast for more than 100 hungry students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students, dressed in British school style, were offered coffee, tea, orange juice, toasts, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, beans in tomato sauce, jam, porridge,..: these are the typical ingredients of a real English Breakfast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the breakfast, all pupils participated in our English Breakfast Quiz. The winners, from the group \u201cOK\u201d, were rewarded with a cinema ticket for Kinepolis Ghent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also organized a competition for the \u201cbest dressed student\u201d. This year\u2019s winners were Dant\u00e9 De Bilde (3TWA), Bas Joiris (3ET) and Tilde De Vriendt (3BIO). Even they all got a ticket for the cinema. Have fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some reactions of our students:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was a good way to start a school day with your classmates. My favourite was the food and the interesting quiz.\u201d (Toine Croes, 3TWB)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI really liked the full English breakfast, because you could try different ingredients which you have never eaten for breakfast, for example the baked beans.\u201d (Fabian Fiermans, 3ET)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI liked the bacon, the sausages , the beans and the porridge.\u201d (Noor Braeckman, 3BIO)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhat a nice way to have breakfast with your fellow students! My favourite ingredients were the scrambled eggs and the sweet crispy bacon.\u201d (Bas Joiris, 3ET)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without any doubt, our English breakfast was a big success again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
