| February 15 was an important date for all 3rd year pupils, as their “English Breakfast” was scheduled on that day. Beforehand, all pupils were well prepared and taught about this delicious English tradition. |
But on the morning of the 15th, all teachers of English had to get up early in the morning. The early bird catches the worm: around 7 o’clock, the teachers started preparing the breakfast.
And how delightful it was to see the pupils entering our restaurant, most of them dressed in British school style. They were offered coffee, tea, orange juice, toasts, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, beans in tomato sauce, jam, porridge,… all of these are typical ingredients of a real English Breakfast.
During the breakfast, we could all listen to British music and we watched slides about the British Isles. After the breakfast, all pupils participated in an interactive Kahoot quiz about the UK.
The winners of the quiz were Carsen Feys, Briek Coolens, Natacha Klinck, Louka Meersschaut, Lucas Colin, Cédric Dujardin, Gilles Verspurten and Brent Damoiseaux.
Prizes were also handed out to the “best dressed pupils”. These went to Stan De Letter and Benjamin Roelandt.
All of these pupils were rewarded with a Kinepolis Ghent ticket, and thus ended a delightful morning on the Scheppers Institute. Thanks to all teachers of English for their commitment, and to all pupils for their impeccable behaviour!
